THE good Capitan Miguel Muyco, presently commander of the land forces of the most honorable warlord Datu Bangsawan has made extensive and proper research on the inhabitants of the previously uncharted Island OC, and has made the following commentary expressing his opinion on the most interesting of the natives and excurtionists alike.

1. Mr. Eppy Zaldin - "My, this fellow seems to be one hell of a lucky gentleman. I am surprised that he had made it this far. He seems to have a fairly frequent habit of throwing away commodities that he finds inutile to his person. The honorable warlord and myself had quickly dispatched him with a solid plunge to his naked head with a large boulder. I rather enjoyed the sound his head made when the great sound hit him. It was quite... unique... almost of a hollow quality."

2. Mme. Joanna Sombrero - "It is either the intention of the God of Abraham to test our stalwart crew by inflicting on us the difficulty of having to deal with this girl who seems to possess strength to match even that of the Heracles of legend. The Ita trappers have complained to the honorable warlord that they refuse to attack the girl further after one of their number, having witnessed a large strong tree being utterly ruined by the said Madame Sombrero without even the slightest effort on her part, reported back to the main party of hunter-trappers. After this incident, the Itas began to believe that the girl herself was a demigod. Fortunately, it took the honorable warlord mere minutes to mobilize my countrymen, the brave men of China, and their muskets and harquebuses, position them behind an agreed area of fire, and annihilate the girl with a barrage of cannon grape shot and musket fire."

3. Mr. Jack - "After extensive research on the subject of one monsieur Jack, whose last name escapes me, we have found out that he is a court jester who appears to be a man of substance and good humor. It should be noted, though, that we should not aggravate this gentleman, as it may result in a metamorphosis of his person, as in the case of the fictional novel, 'The Strange Case of Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde' of Mr. R. L. Stevenson. Rather, we should kill him without his knowledge, perhaps in his sleep or by an unsurvivable trap of some sort. Further notes will be taken on the subject of his liquidation later."

4. Mr. Jayme Larra - "Monsieur Larra is an interesting specimen. He appears to be some sort of spellcaster, relying on a magical wand-like device for controlling his magicks. My research on the occult and the mystery religion of Haitian voodoo has led me to believe that his powers can be compared to a combination of the African night witches and the magic of St. Cyprian of Antioch. Although I believe that the magic of the latter is the more potent, since it deals with courting the Prince of Darkness himself, Monsieur Larra's works are indeed a work of the magical arts in themselves. In comparison to St. Cyprian, who has the ability to summon Lucifer, Monsieur Larra can summon his own advocate - a most terrible creature by the oddly Slavic name of Cozmorov. I will not further elaborate on the etymology of the said beast's name, since I found it to be of no meaning. A communique must be passed to all members of the good ship Buwaya instructing them in the assassination and/or extirpation of persons with magical powers or beasts."

5. Mr. Marc Collado - "Monsieur Collado should be dressed well, but it appears that his tailor was in too much of a hurry. We can identify him by the length of his sleeves - we have not yet seen anyone else wears their shirts like he does. After extensive research on the young monsieur, we have found nothing unusual about him save for the fact that he is extremely unkempt with an odd taste in fashion - as he wears a collar like a hunter's gun dog. The honorable warlord believes that I should not underestimate him so, and I am well considering his advice."

6. Mr. Kiko Matchin - "Probably a fisherman's child with little future prospects was what my espionage team thought at first glance. However, upon further observation, it was found that Monsieur Matchin has in his possession a magical can that has the ability to summon protection creatures in the form of two giant worms and a hundred lesser worms. The acquisition of this can would be vital to operations against the indigenous people of the island. It will supply the men with a source of fishing bait for years."

7. Mr. Rojo Sanchez - "The honorable warlord has informed me that extreme caution should be taken against Mr. Sanchez as he has the power of summoning three much-feared creatures in the datu's native folklore - namely, the tikbalang, the manananggal and the dwarf. A suggested course of action is to simply ply Monsieur Sanchez into a state of unreadiness and strike when he is either unconscious or asleep."

8. Mr. Henry Hudas - "Extreme caution must be exercised in dealing with Monsieur Hudas, as he is able to transform into an immensely powerful beast at night. It is imperative that our forces must engage with this threat only during the daytime. The character of this individual implies a hateful and violent nature - much like myself, but uncontained - wild - like an uncultured savage."

9. Mme. Ligaya - "After the rather disastrous attempt to poison madame Ligaya with toxic pastries, we decided that it would be best to just leave her alone until we can devise a better plan. The honorable warlord complains that I am not doing my absolute best and that I may see in her an object of infatuation. I can assure him that this is not the case - since the lovely madame is neither Chinese or Christian. However, my intention remains to destroy her for the greater benefit of the datu's company. A rather weird article - scouts come back from their reconnaissance with swollen eyeballs. They refuse to explain why, and continue to seek a cure for their condition up till this very day."

10. Mr. Lapas Tangan - "We soon found out that Monsieur Tangan was a homosexual. Other than the fact that he possesses a magical machete, I refuse to comment any further on the subject of his person."

11. Mr. Akimaru and Mme. Akiko - "This brother and sister pair, of East Asian and Southeast Asian descent, are apparently keen practicioners in the magical arts. Monsieur Akimaru has the power to summon - at will - various weapons of both high and low caliber, swords and bladed weapons, and an infinite number of various armaments. The potencies of his sister, on the other hand, are much less known. She seems to dabble in the healing arts and white magic - but of this we are yet unsure of. Caution should be taken in dealing with this pair, since the two are inseperable, and one will watch the other with equally strong affinity."

12. Mme. Aile - "Madame Aile - whose name in the language of the Franks means wing - attracted my attention because of her weapons. These are obviously not from our time, as the caliber of the majority of her small arms are dwarfed by the larger calibers of the men's muskets. Surprisingly, however, her weapons are far more accurate than our own - some are even more powerful despite their lack in caliber. If we can retrieve one of these weapons, we can examine its mechanics and perhaps produce an equivalent. We hope that the honorable warlord's greatest enemy - Admiral Rodion of Russia - fails to know about this girl and her weapons, since he himself is a master gunsmith, and will likely be able to copy her designs faster than we."

13. Mr. Tonio - "The diddie or satchel that this gentleman carries on his back intrigues me so. It appears to be a living creature, with its own system of nourishment and thought. Monsieur Tonio is highly aware of this, constantly feeding the satchel with his opponents or their articles. Our primary objective with Monsieur Tonio is to acquire that sack. Without it, he is as good as helpless against our rifles."

14. Paliao - "We have absolutely failed to figure out what under the roof of God's green earth this thing is. We have concluded that it is an organism, but we have our doubts as to what its purpose may be. We can tell by its physical appearance that it is large, gray, and has the gift of speech and intelligent thought. Other than that we can only assume its function."

15. Mr. Kyouya - "This gentleman is quite possibly a votary of the grim reaper. We cannot garner any other information."

16. Mme. Linn - "Perhaps Madame Linn is a close friend of Madame Aile. They share the same qualities, in fact they are almost identical. The good ship's marines and I are debating as to whether we should concentrate on the same objectives with the good lady."

17. Mr. Ragamuffin - "The monsieur's name does not justify him. He is anything but a scraggly ragamuffin. In fact, some of the more superstitious members of the reconnaissance group suspect that he may even be a spawn of Satan. We know very little about him aside from the fact that he is a powerful black magician. Extreme caution must be exercised upon contact with this man. We are still trying to figure out a way to considerably cripple or completely destroy his person."
